Gayle Brady Glenn Wright

1949 ~ 2017

Gayle Brady Glenn Wright at age 68 passed away Saturday, October 14th,peacefully surrounded by her family at IMC in Murray, Utah.

She was born in Murray, Utah on August 31, 1949 to Edwin O\Neal and Donna Brady Glenn.

She grew up in Midvale, Utah and Graduated from Hillcrest High School. After high school she worked at the LDS church offices. She then married her best friend and forever sweetheart Don Wright on June 4,1971 in the Salt Lake Temple. They later resided in Sandy, Utah where they raised their 3 children.

Gayle was an amazing wife, mom, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She was so kind and always put family first. She was always looking for a good book to read and liked listening to music. When her children were younger she enjoyed participating in a bowling league once a week. She always liked doing fun art projects, especially for the holidays. One of her favorite things was to travel with her family and husband. After Don retired they spent a lot of time together traveling where they were able to see and share some wonderful experiences together. She really appreciated and cherished the time she was able to serve in the Jordan River Temple alongside her husband. Her family was the light of her life and she especially loved her visits from her grandchildren.

Survived by her husband Don Wright; son James (Charity) Wright; daughter Kim (Tim) Shirley; grandchildren Lilli Wright, James Jr. Wright, Addison Shirley, Drew Shirley, Kendall Shirley; sister Jerri Oborn; and brother Garth Glenn. Preceded in death by her father Edwin O'Neal Glenn; mother Donna Brady Glenn; and son Neal Wright.

Gayle will be remembered for her kind, thoughtful, genuine, and generous personality that blessed so many that knew her. She was a great example of optimism in the face of adversity.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 19thfrom 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20th at 11:00 am at the Crescent 11th Ward, 89 East 11000 South, Sandy, with a viewing one hour prior to services.
