Nancy Lee Kanode Combs, age 65, passed away February 25, 2014 in Murray Utah.
Born August 24, 1948 to Maudie Gertrude Hayes and Richard Randolph Kanode in Roanoke, Virginia. Married James Alton Combs May 1, 1965 in Leaksville, North Carolina.
She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She travelled around the country, moving the family to accompany her husband, even to live in Spain for a year in their earlier years of marriage. She took pride in being a mother and taking care of her two children. She also enjoyed many activities such as sewing, cooking, and painting. She loved to garden and had the most spectacular rose bushes imaginable. She treasured her two grandsons with all her heart.
Survived by her son James, Jr. (Malia) Combs, daughter Betsy (Brent) Maynes, grandsons John and Troy Maynes, brothers Randolph and Timothy Kanode. Preceded in death by her husband, father, mother and sister.
Graveside services will be held on Friday February 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
