Mildred Jean Loveland Richardson

1928 ~ 2013

Our Sweet Millie left us on December 2, 2013 following a valiant battle to overcome complications that beset her following heart surgery in October. She loved her family, friends and life itself and did all that she could to remain here with those she loved so much.

She was born on April 24, 1928 in Deweyville, Utah, the only daughter born to Duett Faulkner and Emma Matilda Ault Loveland. She was proud of being raised in Deweyville and of her rich pioneer heritage. Millie attended Bear River High School, playing the clarinet in the band. She married Dean Gittens Haslem in 1946. They later divorced. She married Theodore Richardson on September 3, 1949. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on April 1, 1963. Her "Teddy" preceded her in death on June 25, 2003 after 53 years of marriage. They made their home and raised their family in Brigham City, where she was a teller at the First Security Bank for 17 years, retiring in 1976. From 1976 to 1992 they loved to winter in Indio, CA, then, in 1993, they moved full time to warmer St George and Ivins, UT and then back to Clinton, Utah in 2002. She recently moved to North Ogden.

She was extremely patriotic and civic mindedbeing active in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and proud of her brother, Darrell's service in the USMC, husband Ted's service as a US Naval Aviator during WWII, her grandson Jared Richardson\sservice as a police officer, and her grandson Adam Richardson\s service in the Utah Army National Guard. She instilled those deep feelings in her family.

Millie and Ted loved to camp, fish, and hunt, spending countless weekends and vacations with beloved family and friends. Time spent playing cards and Aggravation will always be treasured. Her crocheted baby blankets, doilies, afghans, and beadwork items, that she made with so much love and skill, will adorn her family's homes for generations.
