Laura Ann Goff Johnson

Laura Ann Goff Johnson passed away at her home in Lakewood, Washington, on Sunday December 10th, 2017. Laura was born December 23, 1967 in Salt Lake City, Utah to David E. and Pamela L. Simper Goff.

Laura was happy, vivacious and adventurous from birth. She was an exchange student in Germany as a high school sophomore, and a page in the U.S. Senate during her junior year. She also enjoyed pep club and singing in the Hillcrest High School choirs. After high school graduation, she worked in the office of U.S. Senator Jake Garn. After her marriage to Craig (Shag) Hulbert, they moved to Olympia, Washington. They were later divorced.

Laura spent her adult life in Washington, Nevada, and Arizona. She met and married Theodore (Ted) Johnson. She was active in various community, charitable, and fund-raising activities such as Habitat for Humanity, the \"Enchanted Forest\", and the St. Joseph Children\s Hospital. Laura was loving, kind and generous. She was a planner, organizer and enjoyed entertaining in their home. She loved cooking and baking and excelled at crafting, as well as floral arranging and scrapbooking.

She served as the executive director of the Olympia Symphony and marketing director for the Las Vegas Philharmonic. Laura\s efforts were always extravagant and added beauty to the world. She earned a bachelor's degree Cum Laude from Pacific Lutheran University. Her life\s motto was \"More Is Better". She loved oldies music, history, and her dogs - Snowy, Skunk, Rollie, Maggie and Grady - were all spoiled by her.

Laura is survived by her husband, Ted Johnson; her parents and stepmother; her sisters Debbie Anderson (Gary) Herriman; Heidi Foster, South Jordan; and her brothers Paul (Celeste) South Jordan; and Brian, Murray. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews whom she adored. She loved the role of "Aunt Laura," and spoiled them as if they were her own. She was preceded in death by a brother Gregory Goff, a niece, Shaley Anderson, brother-in-law, George Foster, and her grandparents.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., December 23rd at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Memorial Chapel, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens will follow the service.
