Robert H. Seegmiller

1937 ~ 2016

Robert H. Seegmiller beloved Brother, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather passed away in the loving arms of his family on November 16th, 2016 as a result of complications to cancer

Robert was the youngest of five sons of Adam Carroll and Ruth Higbee Seegmiller, born December 28th, 1937 in Cedar City, Utah.

Robert graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for the Boeing Corporation, Sperry Univac, Utah Power and Light Company and CCandE Engineering Company, retiring first from Utah Power and Light and subsequently CCandE.

Robert loved all things airplanes, especially WWII aircraft. He was a long time member of the Salt Lake chapter of the IPMS Society and enjoyed creating detailed works of art to share with his IPMS friends and colleagues

Robert loved music, especially big band and jazz. He played saxophone with his brothers in the Starlighters in his earlier years. Robert and Mavis were quite the dancing pair and we as his children loved to watch them dance, as well as enjoy the wonderful music of their era. We know that Dad and Mom are dancing among the stars together, which brings us much joy.

Robert was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, served as a Stake Missionary for the Ensign Stake, as well as serving in many other church positions. Robert treasured most of all his 6.5 years serving as the Bishop of the Ensign 3rd Ward. He loved the "doctrine of the kingdom" and has a strong testimony of its truthfulness, which continues to influence his posterity.

Robert was also very active in Family History and Temple work, having found over 8000 family names as well as completing much of these family members' ordinances.

Robertis preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Mavis Slack Seegmiller, as well as his older brothers Winston, Grant and Garn. He is survived by his brother Alan Seegmiller (Marva); his five children Brenda Sue Webster (Paul), Natalie Kitterman (Richard), Dr. David Seegmiller (Kathleen), Dr. Richard Seegmiller (Jennifer) and Michael Seegmiller (Rebecca), twenty-one grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
