Norma Lou Hunter

1932 ~ 2015

The sound of a horn honking in our neighborhood signaled that Norma Hunter was outside and on her porch reading a good book and enjoying the company of her husband Artie. On sunny days and cool ones too, she greeted her neighbors as they drove, walked or skated by.

Norma Lou Hunter, daughter of Talmage L. White and Lucile Brown, was born in Heber City, Utah, February 22, 1932. She married Artie Hunter 63 years ago on January 10, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. She passed away on May 26, 2015, after a six-year struggle with the complications of dementia.

She is survived by her husband Artie Hunter, son Randal Bob Hunter (Chris), daughter Karen Della-Piana (Vern), five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and siblings Eugene, Alice and Gary. She is predeceased in death by her mother, father, brother Lowell and sister Susan.

She worked for more than twenty years managing two dental offices. Norma loved the mall and was an avid shopper. Her home is a showcase of her master talents which included needle point, knitting and cross stitch. Norma played the piano and the organ in her various wards, and by adding cords to a regular piece of music, could make the experience ethereal.
