It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Travis Danyol Martinez, age 36, on July 2, 2015 due to a tragic accident. He was born Nov 3, 1978 in Salt Lake City, UT to Michael D. and Judy H. Martinez. He was recently married on May 22, 2015 to Stormie Stevens Martinez, who he loved so dearly with all his heart. All that remember Travis know what a kind and loving man he was. He had an infectious smile and never missed a moment to grab you, give you a hug or just say, "Hi, how are you doing?" Family and friends were what he loved the most. Especially spending time with them at the cabin, making memories none of us will ever forget. He also loved spending Sunday's watching football and cheering on his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers, "Lets do this Frisco", as he would say. He had a passion for playing golf and looked forward to teeing up with his dad each week.
Travis was a Son, Brother, Father, Husband, Uncle, Nephew and Friend. We will miss him so much. Travis is survived by parents, Michael and Judy Martinez, wife Stormie Stevens Martinez, children Angelo, Uriah, Sierra, Vince and Madyson, brother Michael, sisters Andrea, Sue (Michael Herrera), God Parents Joe and Coleen Herrera, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and all the friends he loved. Proceeded in death by grandparents Joe and Sally Herrera, Tony and Mary Martinez. Travis's final act of kindness was to give the gift of health, as his donation of tissues will touch the lives of as many as 50 people.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 11:00AM ‚ 12:45PM. Followed by a funeral mass at 1:00pm. Services will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 715 W 300 North SLC, UT. The family would like to invite everyone to attend lunch, following the service, in the hall at the church.
