J. Lynn Jensen

1944 ~ 2017

Lynn Jensen was born in Price, Utah on July 1, 1944. She entered Heaven's gates on September 29, 2017. Her daughter, Jaclyn Brock lovingly cared for our mother the last four years of her life and for this she deserves my eternal gratitude.

A consummate mother and homemaker, Lynn enjoyed being involved in her children's lives and took great pride in raising kind and living adults. Lynn loved to travel. She would often pack up the family into their motorhome and search out new adventures. As time catches up to us all, Lynn had to put away her passport and decided to focus on her greatest love of all, her granddaughter Ava. This blue-eyed, redheaded beauty brought such joy to her life, that many wonderful afternoons were spent having tea-parties and watching cartoons.

Lynn was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Ronald Lee Jensen. When Ron and Lynn were married and had children, they chose to raise their family first in Price, Utah and later in Salt Lake City, Utah. Once, Ron retired and the children were grown. The couple moved to St. George, Utah to live out the twilight years in warmth and sunshine. Unfortunately, Ron left his darling wife far too soon and Lynn chose to move back to Salt Lake City. Lynn was sealed to Ron on March 24 2015.

Lynn is also preceded in death by her loving mother and father, Melrose and Erma Atwood and her beloved brother Clay Atwood.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters Jill (Kyle) Edwards, Jaclyn (Nathan) Brock, one son Joey(Laura)Jensen, one sister Paula Christensen, one brother Scott (Marcia) Atwood and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday October 7, 2017 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley, 13001 South 3600 West Riverton, Utah. Immediate family will gather for a private viewing at Larkin Mortuary 3688 West 12600 South Riverton, Utah prior to the graveside service.

We would like to invite those attending the funeral to help us celebrate a remarkable life. A party to honor our mother Lynn Jensen will be held following her services at 14707 South Hobble Creek Drive (3215 West). Parking available at the park near the home.
