T. Frank Swallow

1918 ~ 2015

Our kind and loving father and grandfather passed away peacefully of natural causes on July 11, 2015, surrounded by family.

Thomas Frank Swallow was born on February 27, 1918 in Salt Lake City to George and Matilda Chesley Swallow. He married his eternal sweetheart, June Bergeson, on June 13, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Frank never lost his love of ranching from his childhood experiences. He received a degree in accounting and was successful in several businesses. He was an entrepreneur at heart.

He served a mission in Germany and was there when the missionaries were evacuated at the beginning of World War II. He was assigned to finish his mission in Texas. He was a veteran of World War II where he served his country.

Frank enjoyed a life of service in the LDS church. He served in several bishoprics and was Bishop twice. From 1981-1982 Frank and his sweetheart, June, were called to the International Mission with an assignment to Israel. They both loved serving as ordinance workers for over 20 years in the Salt Lake Temple.

Dad was always kind and faithful in his love of the gospel. His life has been a shining example to all. He fulfilled his most noble callings of husband, father and grandfather with unconditional love and devotion. He leaves a lasting legacy of selfless love and fun traditions. At age 78 he showed us that you are never too old to learn to zip line and knee board.

Survived by four children: Dennis (Patsy), Pat (Charles) Haussler, Dixie (Mike) Burbidge, Tom (Kaye); 19 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren and three that he has gone to tutor for their soon arrival.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ensign Stake Center, 2nd Avenue and A Street. Friends and family may visit Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and at the church Saturday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
