Gary Alden Evans

Gary Alden Evans passed from this life on 2 July 2022 at his home in Sandy, Utah. Gary was born in Salt Lake City on 4 December 1946. Gary was raised in Northern Virginia and worked for the government, but his primary love was playing bass guitar and creating music. Gary’s first band was a popular band in the Washington DC area called the Mob. Gary also worked as a commercial real estate appraiser. But kept his hand in music. For over a decade Gary played in various bands and taught guitar to many students. He loved his students, whom he was so proud of.

Gary was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was preceded in death by his Father Alden Evans and his Mother Cleo Louise Harman (Evans); one sister Carolyn Jean Wade and one brother Michael Ross Evans. Gary is survived by his brothers David William Evans (Chere) of Columbia, Kentucky and Mark Daniel Evans (Irene) of Washington, Utah. Also many nieces, nephews, friends and students. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
