Eldon Lee Burgener

1947 ~ 2019

In the early morning hours of Thursday, March 28, 2019, Eldon Lee Burgener took the step that all of us will take, from the familiarity of this mortal life, to the unknown but joyfully anticipated, immortal life. Eldon was born on January 21, 1947 in the old Cottonwood Birthing Home in Murray, Utah to Victor Alma and Bertha Irene Dickman Burgener. In his early years he was raised in the home that his dad built in Murray. His father and mother moved to a new home in Millcreek where he lived until after his mother died. His father remarried and Eldon moved with him to Salt Lake City, but after a few months decided to move out on his own.

Eldon had a knack for things mechanical and was interested in automobile repair from an early age. He was an ASE Certified Mechanic and worked for a number of years for, and retired from, the Ken Garff companies who provided him factory schooling as a diagnostic and repair specialist for the Mitsubishi line of vehicles.

Eldon enjoyed several hobbies, but as his interests and health changed, he would embrace a new interest. He maintained a garden at his home for several seasons, but because of health limitations he was unable to continue that activity. He enjoyed Radio Controlled model airplanes and at one time he was active in Amateur Radio. Health problems began to limit his ability to explore new interests and he settled into a slower life style, spending most of his time at his home in West Valley City.

Eldon was preceded through the veil by his mother in July of 1966, and his father in January 1994. He leaves a brother, Ronald, and two sisters, Barbara Blomquist, and her husband Eben, and Karen Burgener, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members.
