George Brain

1944 ~ 2022

WEST WENDOVER, NV. -- George Brain died Jan. 5, 2022, in a Salt Lake City hospital of causes incident to age. He was 77.

Throughout his life, George set his own course. He grew up on Downington Avenue in Salt Lake City. He was a bartender, casino dealer, and owner of an air cleaning service. A lifelong outdoorsman, he hunted waterfowl, upland game birds, and deer, and flyfished for trout in Utah and Nevada, passing these skills to his nephews. He was a founder of the Sunday Afternoon Hangover League.

Albert George Brain III was born July 6, 1944, in Boston, MA., to Albert George Jr. and Mary Miller Brain. He is survived by his sisters Carol and Barbara, his brother David, three nephews, two nieces, and a grandnephew.

A family graveside remembrance is planned for his birthday.
