Obituary
Gerhard Wilhelm Rudolph, November 26, 1930 – July 14, 2026, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026. He was born in Semmelsberg, Germany, to Arno and Frieda Christler Rudolph. Raised in a family of ten children—eight boys and two girls—Gerhard grew up alongside his siblings and was one of two sets of twins.
Gerhard married his beloved wife, Rita Dietzsch, in the Manti Temple in 1963. Rita passed away in 2020. He is survived by his three children, Toni, David, and Cindy; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Gerhard arrived in the United States on December 13, 1954. He lived in New York City for a couple of years before settling in Delancey, New York, where he owned and operated a dairy farm with his twin brother, Jacob. After selling the farm, he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, in August 1986, where he lived for the remainder of his life.
Gerhard was known for his tireless determination, steady perseverance, and ability to keep moving forward, even when the path was uncertain. His great sense of humor and infectious smile brightened the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
