Chase Alexander Saxton

1992 ~ 2014

The world lost one of its best and brightest on February 6, 2014 when Chase Alexander Saxton passed away from complications after an accidental Heroin overdose. You've left a big hole in the world Chase. You will be missed by everyone who knew you.

Chase was loved by all and admired by many. He loved his family and many dear and close friends. He wanted to be a good son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend. You were Chase. If you could only see the outpouring of love now that you're gone… Chase loved the outdoors. He's always been on a board. Skateboard, longboard, wakeboard, snowboard. Chase was a talented and passionate musician. A self-taught guitar and piano player, he also composed songs about heartbreak, love and life.

Chase was studying Business Management at the University of Utah. Chase fought hard every day to overcome his demons. His family and friends supported him and did all they could to help. In the end, we all lost, and Chase paid the ultimate price. Chase is survived by his parents David Joseph and Shelley Diane Saxton, his sisters, Jorden (Jason) Hackney, Breeanne Saxton, Grandparents, Joseph Lynn and Gail Saxton, Eldon DeLoy and Darlene Howell, his dear and close girlfriend Laura Gumbrict, as well as many uncles and great uncles, aunts and great aunts, cousins, and grand cousins, other extended family and many dear and loving friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014 beginning at 9:00 AM at Larkin Mortuary 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. There will be a viewing from 9:00 until 10:00, a chapel service from 10:00 to 11:00, then a graveside service from 11:30 to 12:30 at Mount Olivet Cemetery 1342 East 5th South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Everyone is invited to attend all services.

Chase's fight against addiction will now be carried on by The Chase Alexander Saxton Foundation to Fight Substance Addiction. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to the Fund by visiting the Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/ChaseAlexanderSaxtonFoundation.

Rest In Peace our beloved Chase.
