Gloria Dell Chambers

1940 ~ 2024

Gloria Dell Chambers, 83, passed away Thursday, February 29th, 2024, in Orem, Utah. She was born to Lester and Zella Moosman in Bicknell, Utah on August 22nd, 1940. She grew up on a huge ranch in Boulder, Utah with two brothers and one sister. Gloria graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1958. She married Robert (Bob) Frank Chambers in Ely, Nevada, October 26, 1957, and they had three children together. Kathy, Kenneth, and Karen.

Bob served in the military and received orders and then moved to California where the two raised their children. Gloria worked for K-mart for over 20 years. Bob retired from the Navy and FMC. Gloria retired soon after. Once retired they moved back to Utah to be closer to family. They had a beautiful house in South Jordan, Utah. Their kids and grandchildren would visit for joyous memories multiple times a year. Gloria had 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Gloria was liked by all, her smile was contagious, she had a great attitude for life and was always positive. Gloria was a go getter; she loved to travel and go places to eat and see things. She enjoyed family and friends and would always ask you about your life. Gloria was very good at crocheting and had made beautiful things for friends and family and the people she had met. Gloria was loved by everyone and has so many beautiful friends and cherished relationships.

Gloria is survived by her three children; Kathy Ann Hiestand married to Mike Hiestand, Kenneth Allen Chambers married to Gina Chambers, Karen Lynn Chambers. Her sister Jenny Barton, sister in-law Connie Moosman, brother and sister in-law John and Anne Chambers.

Gloria’s funeral service will be held Saturday, March 9th, 2024, with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by funeral at 11:00am at the Glenmoor 8th Ward, 4200 West Skye Drive, South Jordan, Utah

Interment at Salt Lake Cemetery, 200 N Street, Salt Lake City, Utah
