David Alan Chesley, age 82, of Park City Utah, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2017. David was born in Gridley California September 6, 1934. He was the son of Lono and Effie Susan Clark Chesley. Shortly after David was born the family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah were David grew up. David attended West High School and had many friends. David began working for the United States Postal Service in 1965 and worked as a postal carrier for the following 27+ years the majority out of the Holliday Post office. Baseball was his passion. David loved cars and working on them. He often would find someone in need and give one of his cars to them. David also enjoyed building his own home/cabin in Summit Park at the top of Parleys summit near Park City Utah.
David was Preceded in death by his Parents Lono Chesley and his mother Effie Susan Clark Chesley and the following siblings: Vernon Chesley, Lyla Chesley, Evan Chesley, Jean (Chesley) Slade and Robert Chesley. David is survived by: Bill Chesley and John Philip Chesley.
A memorial service and gathering will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City.
