Gordon Naffziger passed away peacefully on September 29, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 3, 1954 in Tooele, Utah. The oldest brother of four sisters, Gordon grew up in Utah with mother Julia Naffziger and his stepdad Robert Naffziger. As an adult, Gordon embraced his family life when he raised his children with wife Kimberly Naffziger. Working as a successful project estimator and master plumber, he was very proud of his large scale construction projects throughout the Salt Lake Valley, his lifelong home, but was also quick to help friends and family with smaller favors.
Outside of providing for and spending time with his family, Gordon was a huge music lover. His favorites included Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Rush. A lover of the mountains, he skied competitively on several prestigious ski teams. He loved adventuring, enjoying scuba diving and having some of his keenest memories fishing in Alaska. He had a huge heart for animals and caring for others.
Gordon is predeceased by mother Julia Naffziger and sister Michelle Naffziger. He leaves behind wife Kimberly, his father Bob (Billie), his sisters Debbie, Stephanie, and Kimberly, mother-in-law Barbara as well as his five children: Brandon, Nicole, Denny (Bridget), Cassie (Juan), and Colton and his five grandkids: Kaison, Logan, Madelynn, Ethan, and Hendrix. We will all miss his easy going, humble spirit, infectious laugh, and his smiling eyes.
Funeral services will be held at Larkin Mortuary on Saturday, October 8th at 2:00pm at 2350 E 1300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84108. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the local Humane Society.
