Graeme James

Graeme Sydney James passed away on December 24th, 2020 from complications from Parkinson’s disease. Graeme was born in Otahuhu, New Zealand, a suburb of Auckland, on January 19th, 1945 to Harold Morris Fulljames and Rita Violet Searle. He was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when he attended the Church College of New Zealand. In addition to introducing him to the faith, it was here that Graeme developed his fascination with computers. He formed lifelong bonds with some of the missionary teachers at the College and, after a career in financial services that took him around the world, he eventually followed them back home to Salt Lake City where he resided for the last 20 years of his life. His retirement years in Salt Lake afforded him the opportunity to pursue his interests in stamp collecting and genealogical research.
Graeme leaves behind his life companion, Mary Donovan; his 2 sons, Michael of Austin, Texas & Richard of Puerto Rico; his sister, Sue Fowler (nee McKnight) of Auckland, New Zealand; his nephew, Rob and nieces, Claire, Kate & Margaret & 13 great nieces & nephews.

Friends may call starting at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, December 30th, 2020, at Larkin Mortuary (260 East South Temple Salt Lake City 84111). Services will be held at 11 AM at Larkin Mortuary. Interment will take place afterwards at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
