Grenville David McFarland was born November 30,1947 in the village of Aleisa, Western Samoa to Chanel Nero McFarland and Lily Crichton as their first child.

As a young man he attended the Church College of Western Samoa In Pesega. He was an excellent student who loved to learn. Being a very social person he had many friends.

In 1966 he married Mary Ott and had one son Bernard. As a young married man he worked as a salesman for Morris Hedstrom in Apia, Western Samoa.

In 1975 he moved to American Samoa where he worked in several jobs, including being a TV announcer for the boxing federation of American Samoa.

In 1986 he moved to California where he lived for several years in Anaheim. There he met Florita Magalei and was married. Then in 2008 they moved and settled in Salt Lake City.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints and was involved in missionary work, family history, and had numerous leadership callings. He was known for his friendly and kind demeanor.

He is sorely missed by his loved ones.

He is survived by his son Bernard, Sharee (daughter in law), stepdaughters Audra, Brandi, Edelweiss.
Siblings, Rosie (N.Z), Reynold (Australia), Harry (Australia), Nero(deceased), Charlotte (deceased), Theodore (Missouri),
David (Salt Lake City), Steven (Samoa), Lorenzo (Australia), Maria (California), Joy (N.Z.). Grandchildren: Laulii, Iven, Bernard Jnr, Gladys, Taylor, Toni, Tori, Nathan, Tristan and Great Grandchildren: Lily, Kai, Jaxon and Indie.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 at Oquirrh Point Stake Center, 6270 West 7000 South, West Jordan, UT 84081, starting at 12:30 PM. A Family Service will be held from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
