Blanche Louise Brady

1931 ~ 2018

Our beloved wife, mother, grandma and friend, Blanche Newbold Brady, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 31, 2018. She was born January 21, 1931, to Delbert and Louise Newbold in Union, Utah and married her high school sweetheart, Calvin Brady on October 6, 1950 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They created a wonderful life together which included five children, 17 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Her life revolved around her family. She was happiest when we were all together, even though the noise level was really high. Blanche always made each person in her family feel special. She was our biggest cheerleader, was always present at special occasions and felt that her family was her greatest accomplishment.

Blanche attended Union Elementary, Union Junior High and Jordan High School, graduating in the spring of 1949.

She was an active member of the LDS church and held many positions in the Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women\s organizations on both a ward and stake level. From October 2003- April 2005 she and Calvin served in the Missouri Adam-ondi-Ahman mission. While serving, Calvin worked to maintain the property and Blanche did genealogical indexing. They loved their time there while they served and made many great friends and memories. They also enjoyed sharing their love of the area and its significance with their family when they visited. She was also an active member of The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

She enjoyed traveling and had the opportunity to visit many places around the world.

Blanche is survived by her husband, Calvin, and their five children: Gordon (Loralee) Brady, Debra (Rick) Crooks, Scott (Linda) Brady, Kirk (Melissa) Brady, and Tara (Darren) Steele, brothers Reed (Francis) Newbold, Bob (Margie) Newbold, and sister-in-law Betty Newbold. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Gene Newbold.
