Guy Louis Greer, age 85, passed away on March 3, 2025, in Sandy, Utah. He was born on January 22, 1940, in Grand Junction, Colorado, to Abbie Edward Greer and Melvina Jane Hanks.

On January 20, 1968, Guy married the love of his life, Judy Lee Milne Greer, in Elko, Nevada. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, adventure, and cherished memories.

Guy was a proud member of the U.S. Army, he was drafted in May 1963 and serving until May 1969 from the Reserves, where he was honorably discharged. During his service, he earned a Medal of Good Conduct, a testament to his dedication and discipline.

After his military service, Guy built a successful career in the millwork industry, where he was respected for his hard work, skill, and integrity. He made countless friends and developed a remarkable reputation in his field. As a dedicated provider, he often worked multiple jobs to ensure his family had everything they needed.

A true outdoorsman, Guy was a member of the Park City Ski Patrol for over 20 years, sharing his love of skiing with family and friends. He treasured the many camping trips his family took when his children were young and found great joy in his cabin, where he spent time with loved ones, rode his Ranger, and served for multiple years on the water board.

Guy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy Lee Milne Greer; parents, Abbie and Melvina, as well as his siblings, Charles Greer, Gladys Greer Schoppe, and Robert Greer.

He is survived by his beloved children: Diana Bjorndal (Brad), Jill Veillette, Sandra Burke and David Burke, Marci Rigby (John), and Stacie Jensen (Wade). He was a proud grandfather to Kristopher, Brooke, Danielle, Parker, Sadie, Jacob, Aimee, and Caden, and a great-grandfather to ten cherished great-grandchildren.

Guy will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, unwavering loyalty, and strong will. He was a man of his word, fiercely devoted to his family and friends, and, as those who knew him best would say, a stubborn S.O.B. until the day he died.

His legacy of love, determination, and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

“Ride easy, you stubborn son of a gun - John Wayne would’ve been proud.”

A viewing for Guy will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and again on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:45 PM. A funeral service will take place on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, followed by interment from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. All services will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, UT 84092.
