Our loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away in Sandy, Utah on February 13, 2024, with family and friends around her bedside. Gwen was born on January 12, 1942, to Reuben Day and Neata Bosworth in Preston, Idaho.

Gwen's passing has deeply saddened the hearts of those that loved her but we can find comfort in knowing she is pain free and now rests in peace. Her greatest joy in life was her time spent with her children, grandchildren and time spent at family get-togethers.

She is survived by her sons Raymond (Marcella), Gary and Danny, daughter Wendy (Ben), grandchildren Jennifer, Parker, Robert and Steven, brother Richard, sister Gloria (Harvey), sister-in-law Janice, dear friend Rose, many nieces and nephews, extended family of Heber Smith and the Kinder family, whom she loved dearly and her 3 poodles Jefferie, Gracie and Lexie. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob", grandson Preston, parents, brothers Glen (Neide), Alan and Dennis.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah. Viewings will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00pm and Saturday afternoon from 12:30 - 1:30pm prior to the services.

Guestbook/Condolences

Dear family it was with great sadness I received the message of the passing of your dear, precious, loving mother. She and I had some very special times together. I was looking forward to more when she discovered she had become too ill to even enjoy life. Her personality and kindness to me will always be remembered. I loved her instantly from the very first day I met her at Aunt Nita’s home in the 60’s and on occasions throughout our life. She loved and appreciated life and relationships. Such a beautiful spirit in her tiny little body. I’ll always love and miss her bright eyes, smile and kind expressions.

May all of you hold on to your wonderful, precious memories of her, I’m sure you have many. To be at peace knowing she is in heaven and free of the pain in her body, getting a much deserved rest from physical life is a relief. She lives still in spirit and I love that.

Rest in peace dear, sweet Gwen.
