Rex William Hardy, 93, passed away July 19, in Murray, Utah. He was born March 14, 1923 to William Gilbert and Jimmie Lee Puckett Hardy in Oakley, Idaho.
Rex met and married his dear wife, Norma Randall Holyoak, and was sealed for eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple June 29, 1946.
Rex had the heart of a warrior with an unconquerable spirit. Always positive, always smiling, loving everyone he met, and was always willing and ready to help others. His zest for life was unmatched, as was his love for his wife, family, the Savior and the gospel. Rex never gave up on anything or anyone. His example, spirit, energy, friendship and leadership will be missed by all who knew him.
Rex leaves behind his children Rex, Jr., Lynda, Philip, Melanie and Michelle, ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Norma, all of his siblings and parents.
Services will be held Saturday July 23, 2016, at the LDS chapel located 6350 South Rodeo Lane, in Salt Lake City, beginning at 11 AM. A viewing will be held prior to services beginning at 9 AM, as well as Friday evening, July 22, from 6-8 PM at the same location. Interment will take place at the Salt Lake City Cemetery following the services.
