Judith Ann Merrill Larsen returned to her Heavenly Father on November 20, 2013 at the age of 66. Born July 14, 1947 in Burley, Idaho to Lee Webb Merrill and Mary Ann Nichols Merrill. She was the oldest of 6 children. She attended BYU and received her bachelors degree in elementary education. She married Sheril Nathan Larsen on March 22, 1974 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. She was the mother of 4 children. She served in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, her favorite being Primary because of her love for children. She was currently teaching Kindergarten at Sandy Elementary and had taught Kindergarten most of her married life.
She is survived by her husband Sheril of Sandy, Utah: Her children Nathan(Lorie) Larsen of Saratoga springs, Utah: Ryan(Tina) Larsen of Woods Cross, Utah: Tara(Tyler) Metcalf of Sandy, Utah; Kristie Larsen of South Jordan, Utah: Her sisters Brenda(Ralph) Walquist of Paul, Idaho: Peggy(Jim) Henson of Roseburg, Oregon; Sister-in-law Joyce Merrill of Burley, Idaho; Jill Maxwell of Sandy, Utah; Joan(Eric) Cluff of Orem, Utah; and the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Jessica, Hailee, Austin, Kade, Parker, and Caleb. Nothing brought her more joy then her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Lee Merrill, her brother Rulon Merrill, her step-father EJ Morgan and her grandparents.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses at the Alta View Emergency and ICU and also Intermountain Medical Center ICU. We know that she could not have received more compassionate, loving care.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday November 25, 2013 at the Hillcrest 5th Ward chapel 915 E. 9045 S. Sandy, Utah. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Sunday Nov. 24, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 So.) in Sandy, and Monday at the Ward from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
