Ronald Ernest Dangerfield

1946 ~ 2017

Ronald Ernest Dangerfield, 70, passed away January 6, 2017. He was born November 25, 1946 in Salt Lake City to Mary Irene Sheppick and Sidney Ernest Dangerfield.

Ron served in the military for six years and began his career of more than thirty years with Bish's Sheet Metal. His life focus was his family. He married his wife Annette in May 1969, and together they had two boys; Dusty and Brandon. He shared his love of baseball and the San Francisco Giants with his boys and coached them and many others throughout their childhood. He watched every Superbowl and unconditionally supported the Oakland Raiders. His family loved to go to the races and four wheeling together at Coral Pink sand dunes. He was an avid NASCAR fan and with that love of cars spilled over into being a car show enthusiast. He and his son built a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro that he proudly displayed at many car shows and received numerous plaques and awards. Summertime was his favorite. Whether he was road-tripping with his family, enjoying all American foods like hotdogs, hamburgers (not cheeseburgers), and Cokes (not Pepsi), even polishing his car and listening to The Doors, or simply sitting on the deck in the sun--these were the times he loved the most. Having no daughters of his own he cherished his daughter-in-laws. He loved supporting his grandkids (little buddies) whether it be baseball or ballet, he was sure to attend them all. You could be sure that wherever he went, his dogs were sure to follow. He will be remembered by all who knew him by his kindness, his smile, and his genuine friendship that he extended to all.

He is survived by his wife, Annette; his two sons, Dusty (Alisha), Brandon (Megan); his eight grandchildren, Taylor, Braden, Taylor M., Rachel, Rylee, Brooklyn, Cameron, and Abigail; his sister, Sharon Peake; and his aunt, Lorna Hague. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda, who died in infancy.

There will be no public services held. In lieu of flowers, please attend a car show in his honor.
