Faye Colleen Williams Olson

1933 ~ 2018

Faye Colleen Williams Olson peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on the morning of April 25th, 2018. She was born to Cleo Doyle and Doris Frost Williams on July 11th, 1933 in Cedar City, UT. Faye attended schools in Beaver Dam, AZ and Salt Lake City, Utah where she graduated from East High School in 1951. She attended BYU before going to work for First Security Bank. Faye met her husband, Kenneth Leon Olson in 1953 at a skating party and they were married and sealed by Spencer W. Kimball on the 11th of May, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple. She and Ken were blessed with two children, Martin Doyle (Loura) Olson and Tamara Colleen Anderson. Faye continued to work for First Security Bank in Salt Lake and later in St. George, UT where she retired after more than 30 years. She is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and spent many years devoted to the service of her beloved Savior. Together with her husband she served a mission for The LDS Church from 1996 to 1997 at the Family History Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Faye loved living in St. George but made the decision to move back to the Salt Lake area in 2013 to be closer to her children and other loved ones. She has resided in American Fork, UT since November of 2015.

Faye is survived by her husband and her two children, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one expected great, great grandchild, one uncle and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.) Sandy, UT on Monday April 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.. There will be a viewing beginning at 9:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the sunset Gardens Cemetery.
