Jack E. Shaffer, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2019 in Holladay, Utah. Jack was born in Pocatello, Idaho on May 25, 1929 to Edna and Floyd Shaffer. Jack grew up in Centerfield, Utah. His family moved to Salt Lake City when he was 12 years old where he attended Lincoln Jr. High and West High School. While stationed in Washington D.C at the Boeing Air Force Base, he met Isabella (Isa) Thomson from New York City. They married in Washington D.C on October 26, 1955. Together they had 3 children, Jean (Robert) Curtis, Bonnie (Jack) Fineran, and Michael (Margaret) Shaffer. He has 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Jack retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1985.
Funeral services will be held in Jack's honor on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the same location from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Interment at Salt lake City Cemetery.
