Michael S. Wiley, beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, returned to his heavenly fatherWednesdayin Salt Lake City. He was 53.

Michael, the son of Andrew "Jack" Wiley and Connie Wiley, was born August 16, 1963 in Logan, Utah. He enjoyed his childhood and often recounted stories of lessons learned from his dedicated parents.

On July 19, 1992 Michael married the love of his life, Lori Christiansen, in Heber, UT. Mike and Lori lived a vibrant life with their three children Chris, Ashlee, and Chandler. Together they spent countless hours giving back to those around them.

During his life Mike made a deep impact on every interest to which he dedicated himself. While raising their children he had a profound influence in the Rose Park community through his efforts with youth football and baseball. He remained staunchly involved in youth sports through the graduation of his children from West HS.

At his roots Mike was a cowboy, and was always a natural working with horses. He spent the last few years of his life racing quarter horses in both chariot and flat track. His passion and talent shone through winning numerous awards in that short time.

Whether it was coaching his sons baseball team, attending his daughters dance events, racing quarter horses, or playing with his grandchildren. Everything Mike undertook was centered around family. These priceless moments spent with and supporting loved ones will never be forgotten.

Michael lived a selfless life like no other, never ceasing to put others before himself. The only thing bigger than his belt buckle was his heart.

Michael is survived by his wife Lori, his children Chris (Cortney), Ashelee, and Chandler, his grandchildren Harper, and Vivian, and his siblings Steve, Ron, and Pat. Funeral services for Michael will be heldWednesday, July 26th, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.at 1450 N Morton Dr, Salt Lake City, UT. Family and friends may callon Tuesdayevening July 25th, from6 to 8 p.m.at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and at the churchon Wednesdayfrom4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.prior to the services.
