Hua Lu

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hua Lu, who left us peacefully on February 18th, 2025.

Hua was a shining light in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived. Hua is survived by her mother and father, Huimin and Shiguang; husband, Hy; brother, Zhang; two sons, Nathan and Kevin; and daughter-in-law, Tina.

Throughout her life, Hua found joy in travelling to new places, taking pictures and making memories, and enjoying delicious food with her family. Those who knew Hua will remember her for her cheerful smile and the kindness she gave to everyone she met. She had a gift for making others feel welcomed and loved, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 27, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092. A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, at 10:00 AM, and details of the upcoming celebration of life will be shared with those who wish to honor her memory. Though not necessary, if you would like to send flowers please have them sent to Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092 for the services.

Thank you family and friends for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Although Hua’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May we carry on her legacy of love, kindness, and joy in all that we do, for her light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
