Ruth left this world on March 6, 2016 surrounded by the love of her husband and children. She was born on January 7, 1934 to Heber and Ruth Jensen in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Ruth was the youngest of 10 children.
Ruth and Sherrell were married on March 30, 1963 in Las Vegas, NV. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on January 14, 1970 along with 6 of their children. The 53 years they spent together were the happiest of her life.
She attended Jordan High School. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. The quilts she made for each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are true treasures.
She is survived by her husband Sherrell, Sisters; Jean and Janet, Brother; Lamarr, children; Michelle (Harold) Vincent, Sheri (Tim) Nielson, James (Carolyn) Johnson, Susan (Jerry) Mounteer, Michael (Shelly) Johnson, Ruth (Kevin) Locher, Esther (Brian) Wilson, 31 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters, son-in-law Brian, grand daughter Chelise and grandson\s wife Cari.
Funeral services will be held onSaturday March 12, 2016 at 11 a.m.at theCrosspointe Ward building, 1327 West 5550 South in Taylorsville. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6-8:00 pm at the church and on Saturday morning from 10-10:45 prior to the service.
