Robert Arley Smart, age 81, returned to his Father in Heaven August 25, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born March 22, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ralph and Alice Smart. He was married to his true love Constance C. Tanner for 40 years and together they raised 3 children. Bob was later reunited with his oldest son Roger. He retired from Kennecott after working there for 50 years. He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Gail, Roger, Michelle (Ken), Mike, Candace (Troy), several grandchildren, great grandchildren and step kids, who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, his eternal wife Connie and his brothers Richard and Bruce.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. Friends and family may call at the mortuary on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
