V.H. Harrington
"A Diamond in the Rough"
Vernon Harold "V.H." Harrington, age 91, passed away on November 4, 2014 in Murray, UT. He was born on August 15, 1923 in Glover, OK to Mel Harrington and Elizabeth Busher. He was married to Johnnie Lou Harrington July 11, 1946. Johnnie passed away in 1991 and V.H. was married to Dottie Harrington December 3, 2005 in Salt Lake City who has been a great companion, caregiver, and stepmother to all of us.
V.H. is a Veteran of World War II during European campaign. He was a farmer, lumber jack, and a baker for Wonder Bread where he retired after 30 years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and spending as much time with his family as possible. Dad was a good husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves behind a wife, two children; Vernon M. (Shirley), Cathy L. (Paul), all of his grandkids; Jim (Jill), Tisha (Wayne), Chad (Amy), Jennifer, Angelina, Norman (Lisa), Brent, Ryan (Tonya), Clint (Kim) as well as 17 great grandkids and 3 great great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his first wife Johnnie, his parents and 10 siblings.
Services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 So.) Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services from 12:00-1:00. Online condolences can be shared at www.larkinmortuary.com
