Idonna Aiken Babcock, age 92, passed away on March 27, 2026, in Sandy, Utah. She was born on January 24, 1934, in Fountain Green, Utah, to Lowell T. and Glenda Jean Aiken, one of four children.
Idonna met her husband, Dorral W. Babcock, and the two were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on June 16, 1952. Together they raised two children, and later in life, Idonna helped raise her wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Caring for her family was something Idonna loved—a lifelong calling she was incredibly proud of.
Idonna was an avid quilter and loved crafting beautiful quilts. She also enjoyed reading, bowling, and traveling with a group of lifelong friends. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found great fulfillment in doing temple work.
Idonna is preceded in death by her husband Dorral W. Babcock, her parents Lowell T. and Glenda Jean Aiken, and her brother Sheldon Aiken.
She is survived by her son Terry (Sherry) Babcock, daughter Susan (Scott) Morris, five grandchildren: Rachelle Babcock, Jarod Babcock, Kipling Sandoval, Tyler Stephens, and Chelsey Zamir; eight great-grandchildren: Kyah, Tobias, Dorien, Isabella, Tahlen, Rhylee, Bailey, and Arie; her brother Max Aiken, and her sister Madge (Ed) Wright.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 4, from 12:00-1:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Road (10600 S) in Sandy, Utah.
