Martin Joseph Cocozza passed away on May 29, 2018. He was born January 14, 1943 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Martin L. and Elizabeth Capaldi Cocozza. He married his wife Jan in North Brunswick, New Jersey in 1977.
Marty served in many capacities throughout his life. He served in the United States Navy from 1963-1967. He was Rotary Club President in New Jersey and Northern and Southern California. He also served as a coordinator at Health South Rehabilitation Center for his church calling.
Marty met his best friend, Ron Gerba in 5th grade. They have remained close over all the years. Ron says Marty was quite the athlete, very good at basketball and baseball.
He is survived by his wife Jan, daughter Teri-lyn, sister Joyce (Joe), step-children Alan (Kathleen), Ron (Barb), Sue (Mike), Keith (Kim), Kevin (Michelle), 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and sister Marie Hegyes.
Memorial services will be held at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the LDS Chapel, 1175 East 7800 South, Midvale, UT. A visitation will be held prior to the services beginning at 6:00 pm. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
