Our beloved wife, mother and Oma returned to her Heavenly Father on October 28, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born on April 8, 1937 to Wilhelm and Margarete Henkel in Freiberg, Germany. Ingrid was the second oldest of four children.

At the young age of 20, Ingrid moved to Upstate New York to marry the love of her life, Jacob Rudolph. They were first married on the family farm and later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they were blessed with seven children.

She dedicated her life to her family, her religion and serving others. Mom's passion was cooking and baking and her food was always delicious. We will miss her German food especially the rouladen, goulash, sauerkraut, red cabbage and her famous oatmeal brownies. She liked to read, crochet and solve crossword puzzles. Mom really enjoyed dancing. Every year she and dad dressed up in their German attire attending the Octoberfest with all of their friends. She will be deeply missed by all her family, friends and all who knew her. We love you Mom/Oma!

Ingrid is survived by her husband Jacob of 63 years; children Bernd Rudolph, Heidi (Jess) Wilson, Henry (Paul) Rudolph, Esther Rudolph, Hyrum Rudolph, Diane (Yko) de Boer and Lynnae (Jason) Harris; 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and sister Gisa (Volker) Hagen. Preceded in death by her parents; younger brother and older sister.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 6th at 12:00 PM at Willowcreek 3rd Ward, 2400 East Alta Canyon Drive, Sandy, with a viewing one hour prior to services. My heart is broken to hear of Ingrid’s passing and my condolences go out to the entire Rudolph family. I was only about 4 years living in Utah, when I meet Ingrid through my best friend Lynnae Harris (Ingrid’s daughter) and just like that I was taken into the family and I felt so comfortable and loved by her from the beginning. Even though we were not related, my girls always called her Oma Ingrid from the moment we meet. Ingrid has taught me so much and I absolutely loved it when she would bring us cookies, cakes or even German chocolate. Sadly we moved out of state in 2015, but I always made sure that we would drop by her house for a visit and she would go all out of her way and bake us cookies or even make a last minute cake.
I will dearly miss Ingrid and she will always have a piece of my heart and I will cherish the time we spent together. ❤️

Dear Jacob and family. I was saddened when hearing of the loss of your dear wife and mother, Ingrid. I have many happy memories of her. I will always remember her warmth and generosity to me when visiting with you all on the farm. Such happy times! Take comfort in those memories and knowing and the peace she now has in God.
    Yours Sincerely,
    Martina (Freischlad) Loff

I was recently informed by a member of the Baldauf Family, here in NY, of Ingrid's recent passing.

I have fond memories of Ingrid, Jake and the Rudolph family when they lived here on the farm in DeLancey (NY) where our children played together, before they moved to Sandy, UT. (Unfortunately, I was never able to accept Ingrid's invitation to visit in Utah.)

My sincere condolences to Jacob and the Rudolph family.
