Holladay, UT ‚ In loving memory of our beloved Britta Sundberg. Britta was born July 7, 1929 in Stockholm, Sweden, daughter of Thure and Emilia Lindfeldt. She died peacefully in her sleep on July 21, 2015.
Britta grew up in the province of Småland, and lived in Värends Nöbbele and Växjö, Sweden. She came to Salt Lake City in 1973 and married her love, Gale Sundberg. They spent 30 happy years together before Gale's passing in 2003.
Britta was first and foremost a wife, caretaker and a wonderful mom. She faithfully took care of the household, Gale and her family. Britta greatly enjoyed gardening, planting flowers in the yard, and playing with her two dogs, Jethro and Svarten. She would prepare delightful Swedish meals and her Swedish meatballs were always so appreciated. Britta also was fond of riding her bicycle all over Holladay while running errands, with her baseball cap on her beautiful blonde hair.
She is survived and greatly missed by her three children: Lena (Krister) Åberg, Lars (Birgith) Önneflod and Christer (Kidde) Önneflod; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and the Sundberg family. Britta is preceded in death by her husband, Gale and her granddaughter, Jayce Faith.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 12:00 am at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, where a visitation will take place starting at 11:30. Interment will take place next to her husband at Holladay Memorial Cemetery.
