Anita-Marie Love

1942 ~ 2013

Surrounded by her family, Anita-Marie Love returned home to her Heavenly Father on November 23, 2013 after a 4 year battle with breast cancer. She endured it with a smile, as she did all things in her life.

Born December 9, 1942 in Santa Monica, California and raised in Manhattan Beach, she was the epitome of a true beach girl. With her long blond hair, blue eyes, and sun kissed skin, the ocean was her playground throughout her childhood and into her young adult life. She truly felt at home there. After joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1964 she eventually moved to Utah, where she fell in love with the mountains and raised her family.

She was a gentle soul who loved nature and animals. She was also very moved by art and believed that it was a conduit to heaven. Music brought her much comfort and was also an expression of her happiness, which she passed on to her children.

She had a great knack for decorating. She could easily transform a room overnight with some fabric, a sewing machine, paint, and a piece of art for the wall. She beautified and reinvented her home for three decades with the simple touch of her hands.

She had the privilege of working at the Jordan River LDS temple for many years, which taught her about true service. She also worked on an off over the years as a teacher\s aid at Terra Linda and Columbia Elementary schools, which allowed her to direct that true service toward children- her own and many others.

\"Grandma Love\", as she was affectionately known to so many kids who had the privilege of knowing her or simply just passing through her home, was a constant in the lives of many- an anchor. Nobody left her presence without feeling better about themselves.

Her dedication to her faith and family, and her perseverance through all adversity served as an example from which her family and many others drew strength.

She lived a simple but beautiful life, and often said that Motherhood was her greatest blessing and joy. She was an angel on earth who gave selflessly and was the true definition of LOVE, and she will be greatly missed by many.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Service for Anita on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd., (10600 S.) Sandy. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 1:45 pm prior to the services.
