Our beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, Christy Avis, passed away in her home on November 10, 2018 after suffering a long illness. Christywas loved and admired by many people. She was passionate, caring, friendly, and fun. She loved to celebrate her birthday, travel, spend time with friends, and had many great associations. She was a peacemaker between her sisters and friends. When she was a little girl, her family called her CC and Christy Bird, for the cute sounds she made as a baby. She had a love for Little Orphan Annie and Alice in Wonderland, and spent five years growing up in Germany. She frequently talked in her sleep, and once made an articulate defense of her wakefulness while asleep on the couch next to her boys, which she later had no recollection of. Christy had a successful and prosperous career at American Express for over 22 years. She was an active and fierce member of Mama Dragons.
She is survived by her children Aaron and Ryan Putnam, their father Jeremy Putnam (Celeste), her parents Kenneth and Deanna Avis, her siblings Cindy Rainey (Steve), Brad Avis, Helen Barton, and Michelle Hallett (Nate), nine nieces and nephews, and countless cousins and friends.
