Jorge Salvador Carrizo, 60 years of age, of Sandy, Utah passed away in his home on February 24, 2016. Jorge was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on February 26, 1955 to Maria del Mar Velazquez and Jorge Sa√∫l Carrizo.
Jorge first came to California from Argentina at the age of 26, where he met his wife Maria in the living room of Fabian and Delys Velazquez. Jorge and Maria married on 4/15/1984 and were married for 31 years. He worked as a painter for Pasadena School District from 1983-1992, where he made life long friends. In 1992 the family moved to Salt Lake City and settled in their Sandy home. Jorge was employed with Home Depot for 21 years and gave his heart and soul to the company. He managed the freight crew for 10+ years and enjoyed barbequing and playing hacky sack with his \"guys.\" Jorge loved watching f√∫tbol and could often be heard cheering \"gooooaaal\" from miles away.
Jorge is survived by his wife Maria, two daughters Jessica and Andrea, and sister Amanda Carrizo. He was predeceased by his mother, father, uncles Augustine and Juan Miguel Velazquez, and his beloved beagle Chico.
Memorial services will be held at Saint John the Baptist Parish, 300 E. 11800 So., on Wed., March 2, 2016 at 6p.m. A celebration of life reception will be held after the service at Juan Diego Catholic High School.
