Bruce Anthony Daw

1989 ~ 2018

On November 17, our wonderful son Bruce returned home to our Heavenly Father. His years of struggle here ended and he is at peace. He is very loved and missed.

He was born May 29, 1989 to parents Anthony Daw and Annette Callahan Daw. He was a sweet baby and grew into a fine young man. He cared for tiny hamsters and his big sister. He did well in school and was on the honor roll. He served an honorable full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the New York Rochester mission, where he gained a great love for the prophet Joseph Smith and a testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

He has a tender heart that reached out to the forgotten and failing. He has a sharp wit and loved bringing laughter and joy to others. He has an inquisitive mind and loved discussing everything from physics to health to politics and everything in between. He is very adventurous and loves hiking, racquetball, yoga, and hot sauce. He is a hard worker and demonstrated this in his work in landscaping and loading trucks for UPS. He excelled and could load 500 packages an hour. He was small but strong and was an example to his fellow workers. He loves being an uncle and was often found wrestling with his niece and nephews. Words cannot express the giant of a person our Bruce is and how much his laughter and smile will be missed as we await the resurrection.

Bruce is survived by his parents, sister Katie (Sam) Hernandez, nephews Gilly and Benji, niece Maisy and grandmother Mary Daw. Preceded in death by his oldest sister Kristin, grandparents Marlow and Eva Callahan and Harold Daw.

Funeral Services will be held November 27, 2018 at 12:00 noon in the Londonderry Chapel, 11162 South Londonderry Drive (1520 E). A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 pm and Tuesday morning from 10:30-11:30 am prior to the services. Interment will be at Elysian Gardens.

We would like to make a book of memories of Bruce. Please email thoughts and stories of Bruce to cammi.glad.larsen@gmail.com
