Jeramy Louis Evans

1973 ~ 2018

Jeramy Louis Evans was unexpectedly called back home to his Father in Heaven on March 1, 2018, as a result of an apparent pulmonary embolism. To all of his family it was a shocking, bitter tragedy. We weep for our loss of this loving, kind, and energetic presence in our lives, but we honor his memory and influence.

He lived with amazing energy and enthusiasm.

He was born on August 6, 1973, in Salt Lake City and attended Beacon Heights Elementary School, Hillside Junior High School, Highland High School and the University of Utah, where he graduated with a Bachelors degree.

During all of his school years, and throughout his life, he loved athletics, for the physical challenge and competition, but mostly for the comradery and friendships, including his lifelong friendship with "the fellas" from Highland High. He played and coached football, rugby, and racquet ball, and loved water skiing, snowmobiling, motor cycle riding, camping, and being anywhere with friends. Wherever he was, that is where the action was. He lived life to the fullest. It takes a real man to coach a Polynesian rugby team by day and be in the cast of the Utah Opera Company's Aida by night and comfortably know and love everyone in the cast and on the team on a first name basis.

He earned his Eagle Scout Award. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Argentina Bahia Blanca Mission where he mastered and learned to love Spanish. In his work and daily activities there was seldom a day when he did not find an opportunity to speak Spanish.

He excelled in every job he had. He had a genuine love for every person. Whether he sold cars, portable toilets, fast food, limousine services, private investigations, or insurance, his boundless energy and enthusiasm for his work and affection for all he met made him loved and successful.

He leaves behind the love of his life, his precious wife, Erica Hansen Evans, his daughters, Romney Rae and Khloe, and stepdaughter Victoria, who in a few short years blessed him with a life time of love and happiness. He is also survived by his grandfather, J W Child, parents William T. and Jan Child Evans, brothers William J. Evans, and Nathan S. Evans (Jocelyn), and sisters Dawn Dunham (Robert), Amanda Miller (Clint), and Kathryn Pendleton (Daniel), and 16 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joan Spratley Child and grandparents Richard L. and Alice T. Evans.

We express sincere gratitude for his employer, Alpha Warranty Services, for their tender and gracious help in returning his body from Georgia, where Jeramy died on a business trip. His coworkers nationwide have established a GoFundMe account for Jeramy's family.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah 84092. A viewing will be held at the same location on Friday evening from 6-8 pm and on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
