Gladys "Montez" Gainey, age 73, passed away December 24, 2014 in Salt Lake City. She was born January 2, 1941 in Crestview, Florida, the daughter of Miles Warren and Mildred Louise Sapp Gainey.
Gladys proudly served in the LDS church and enjoyed each of her callings. She loved to play games, like UNO Attack, with friends in her building. She was an avid reader and loved books. Gladys will be remembered as a sweet and kind lady that everyone loved.
Gladys is survived by her sister Audrey Gainey; nephew Miles Gainey; great nephew; Joseph Gainey; nieces Jennifer, Sonya, Lenora, Ruth and great nieces Anna, Makenzie and Emily. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Miles Warren Gainey, Mildred Louise Gainey, Gene Gainey, Terry Gainey and too many of her friends to count.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Granite Stake Tabernacle, 900 East 2005 South. Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive.
