Our devoted and beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday March 8, 2020.
Sharon was born June 26, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Leon and Eleanora DeKorver. She married Clyde Gansauge on June 30, 1960.
Sharon spent hundreds of hours over the years serving military veterans and their families through the American Legion Auxiliary where she was a member and served as Dept. President 2011-2012.
She loved lighthouses, butterflies and traveling with her family and friends. Some of her most favorite trips were to see the swans at Bear River bird refuge as well as enjoying the beach while reading a good book.
During her life she spent many hours working in her flower garden, doing jigsaw puzzles, quilting, tole painting, crocheting and stitchery all which she enjoyed doing.
Sharon is survived by her 5 children: Sherri Morozin, Lori Allen, Michael, Dan (Nikki), Jenn Echeverria (Ben); 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 brothers and 1 grandson.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, UT. A viewing will be held prior to the services from
11am ‚ 12:45 pm at the mortuary.
