David Blake Lym

1960 ~ 2015

Our loving Husband, father, son, brother and friend David Lym, passed away on July 26th 2015 due to a spinal stroke. David was brought into this world on March 23, 1960 in Van Nuys, California to Mary and Joseph Lym. Dave lived a life full of happiness and love. As a child Dave loved adventure. You knew when he was coming home as you would hear his motorcycle or sports car coming down the road. He went on to play the saxophone throughout high school and college. After attending BYU, David served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tokyo, Japan. In 1985 Dave accomplished his greatest achievement. Marrying his sweetheart, Terry Horsley in the Salt Lake Temple. He went on to have three daughters who he loved unconditionally. Amy, Stephanie, and Jenni. Dave's favorite past time was spending time with his family. Whether it was going on motorcycle rides with Jenni. Spending his Saturdays at Desert Star with Stephanie. Watching TV shows with Amy or traveling the world with Terry. He was successful with a long career in insurance and enjoyed many hobbies. He had no regrets. He lived life to the fullest and always saw the good in people. He lived by the rule, love others and be kind unto others, that is the only way to be happy.
