Sharon Jean Carpenter Skog passed away on November 14, 2016. She was born on September 26, 1943 to Rudolph and Marguerite Carpenter. Sharon grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from Jordan High School. She married Eric W. Skog on June 28, 1963, later divorced.
Sharon spent most of her working career at the Salt Lake County Assessor's Office and retired from there in 2007. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed riding horses, hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. Sharon has two very dear friends, Kathy and Barbara, that were like sisters to her. Over the course of many years, they traveled all over the world together. In her last years, she was very grateful to have her buddy and companion Milo with her.
Sharon is survived by her two sons Eric (Susan) and Darrell Skog, grandchildren Jessie, Trevor and Erin, great grandchildren Brooklynn and Parker.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
