Ronald Donkin, age 71, passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side on April 15, 2018 in Murray, UT. Born on May 11, 1947 to Nancy Heaton and Allen Donkin in Cedar City, UT. Ron was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ron proudly served our nation in the Vietnam War where he worked on radio systems. He remained in the service as part of the Army Reserves. Following his military service, he worked as an airline mechanic for United Airlines. He had a love and passion for airplanes, so this was a perfect fit for him. He spent his retirement doing his favorite things; such as enjoying the scenery on long road trips, especially to his favorite city, Las Vegas.
Ron is survived by his son, Brian Donkin, his four daughters; Jennifer Donkin, Rebecca DeBrodt, Eva Donkin, and Miriam Pineda, three grandchildren; Weston, Quinn, and Paige DeBrodt, brother, Larry Donkin, and a loving caregiver of 30 years, Sharon Elliott.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Rick Donkin.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11am at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, UT.
