Dale Lewis Davies

1942 ~ 2017

Our father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend was reunited with his sweetheart Merle on October 1, 2017. He passed away due to the effects of old age.

Dale was born November 1, 1942 to Ernest and Bernice Davies and was the youngest of four children. He met his sweetheart Merle Jackman while in high school. They married October 28, 1959 in the middle of hunting season. They were later sealed as a family for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple on May 30, 1995.

He was a hardworking man, often working numerous jobs for the care of his family. He served as a Murray City Fire Fighter, retiring as a Lieutenant after 15 years. He also worked for the LDS church for over 40 years.

He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, caring for his beautiful flower gardens and his pond surrounded by the many rocks he collected from all over the country. He had many great stories to tell about his many adventures with "Outback" Jack! His stories, quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children; Kelly (Roxanne), Cory, Shannon, Brian (Kristen), and Brendon (Kuki), daughter-in-law Maria, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren with one on the way and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers and sister, son Shawn, grandson Samuel and his best friend "Outback" Jack Hendrickson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hidden Village Ward, 5425 South 600 West, Murray. Viewings will be held at the same location on Thursday, October 5 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.

You take care now.
