James Edward (Big) Beach, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, passed away on December 2, 2024, at 74 years of age. He endured 6 years of health challenges, but through it all his candor continued, his sense of humor never bated, and his spirit stayed strong for his loved ones.
Beach was born November 25, 1950, to Mable and William F Beach in Delta UT. He was the youngest of five siblings: Alice, Mary, Emma, Bill & Patricia. The family moved to Salt Lake City where he attended Murry High. He then met the love of his life, Vicki Petersen in 1971, and married in 1976. From there they began the journey of their new life and raised their four children together. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoyed running his commercial contracting business. Beach loved the outdoors, camping and fishing and cherished any time with his family. Beach was always quick to help – no matter the circumstance, enjoyed a good joke, and appreciated a long scenic drive.
Beach is survived by his wife Vicki, and his four children, Zach (Gina), Sarah (Jason), Matthew and William, his sister Patricia Preston and his 11 grandchildren. He will be sorely missed.
Special thanks to Canyons Hospice and their wonderful nurses and the rest of the team that took such loving care of him.
Beach did not want a funeral, so we would love for you to join us for a celebration of his life at Larkin Sunset Gardens in La Jardin (The garden house at 1910 Dimple Dell Rd., Sandy UT).
A Celebration of Life will be held on: Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Please join us and feel welcome to share your memories about Big Beach. Food will be served.
Guestbook/Condolences
Sending love from California. Wish I lived closer to family to give you all a big hug. I have wonderful, fun , loving memories at the Beach home with cousins growing up. I felt loved and welcomed and will miss Beach. I pray that the spirit of peace can fill your hearts during this hard time and through the rest of your lives until you are reunited with your hubby, dad, and grandpa again!
My prayers are sent to the beach family. He was a good man. I know he will be missed
I had the privilege of working with Jim on numerous construction projects during his time as a Field Inspector with CSI. He was always a reliable and supportive colleague, and I could always count on him to get the job done with professionalism and integrity. His presence will be greatly missed.
