Our wonderful and loving mother, sister, grandma, great grandma, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on May 15, 2024, surrounded by family members. Janet was born in Pocatello, Idaho to Merlin Frank and Ora May Bowman on January 17, 1942. She was the oldest of three children.

After her brother Wayne was born, they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. At the age of five her family moved to Brazil for her father’s work. After returning home to Utah, she attended Forest Elementary, Irving Jr. High and she graduated from Granite High School where she excelled in shorthand. She attended Stevens Henager College and went on to marry Thomas Lee Tisdale on July 28, 1961, whom she later divorced. Together they had four children.

Janet was a single mom for many years and gave up all her wants, many of her needs, and worked two jobs to support her children. Janet worked for Ulrich Realtor's for many years and was blessed again when she was introduced by her boss to Andrew Junior Anderson. She had met the love of her life, and they were married April 20, 1990, in the Jordan River Temple. They were married over 30 years at the time of his passing on September 22, 2020. He brought with him six children to complete the family. She missed Andy every day and could not wait for the day that they could be together again.

Janet's membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was very important to her; She insisted on renewing her temple recommend just days before her death. She served in many church callings but especially loved serving in the Young Women organization and teaching the Mia Maids. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers along with her mother and sister. She loved playing the piano, laughing, dancing, singing, scrapbooking, Mexican food, Bunco, Dunford donuts, Diet Coke, German chocolate pie, lunches with her West Valley friends, and her many Alta View Estate friends. She absolutely loved pigs and you knew the moment you walked into her home. Her smile lit up every room and she loved to laugh. Hanging out with her daughters, granddaughters, sister, nieces and the many family parties were her favorite, with the annual Easter Egg hunt being the highlight. She loved her family very much.

She lost her sight from Macular Degeneration and couldn't do many of the things she loved but she did become Tiktok famous and received all kinds of gifts from her followers especially pies. She truly will be missed by all. The family wants to thank her daughter Jean and her son Shane for taking care of her for the past two years.

She is survived by her sister, Julia (Derk) Pehrson; son, Shane Tisdale, daughter, Dana (Mike) Maez, daughter, Teresa (John) McElprang, daughter, Jean (Karl) Rasmussen, son, Barry (Kellee) Anderson, daughter, Julene (Kevin) Mathews, daughter, Becky (Bruce) Robison, son, Brian (Michelle) Anderson, daughter, Susan (Bill) Fisk, son-in-law, Harvey (Robyn) Christoffersen, 59 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Junior Anderson, her parents, Merlin & Ora May Bowman, her brother, Wayne Bowman, her sister-in-law, Vickey Bowman, her daughter, Robyn Christoffersen, her grandson, Timothy Simpson and her great-granddaughter, Indy Llew Jones.
