Janet Lynn Johnson "Bearsie" passed away peacefully on the evening of Saturday, November 24, 2024 in Murray Utah.
Janet was a woman of extraordinary spirit and adventure, with a passion for exploring the world. Her career as a tour guide allowed her to see many parts of the country and the globe. Among her favorite memories was a trip with her grandson Dillon to the Grenadine Islands, where they both earned their captain's certification—a whimsical and cherished testament to her fearless nature.
Her adventurous heart led her to countless journeys with her daughter, Heather, including road trips across the U.S., Snuba diving in the Florida Keys, visiting her brother in the Virgin Islands, bathing and riding elephants in Bali, and memorable weekends in Las Vegas. Janet also shared treasured experiences with her closest friends on trips to Lake Powell and embarked on the trip of a lifetime with her daughter, grandson Dillon, and granddaughter-in-law, visiting France, Spain, and Greece.
Janet’s greatest joys were her family. She fiercely loved her daughter Heather and grandson Dillon, and her heart lit up with the arrival of her great-granddaughter, Eris. Janet adored sharing photos and videos of little Eris with everyone she met, radiating pride and joy.
Janet was survived by her mother Pauline Johnson,Siblings Julie Woody, David (Patricia) Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson. Jennifer (Steve) Johnson-Bell, Daughter Heather Johnson, Grandson Dillon DeChene (Valisha Bickley), Great Grand daughter Eris Rainbow DeChene and many other close friends. She was proceeded in death by her father Earl Johnson, Brother Brett Johnson and lifelong friends Bonnie Peretti and Janice Selstead.
Janet will be deeply missed. Her zest for life and the beautiful memories she created will be treasured forever. Not a day will pass without thoughts of her and the grand adventures she inspired

I didn’t know her but if she was anything like her Daughter Heather she must have been a wonderful lady. She was also a beautiful. I am so sorry for your loss Heather, Dillion, granddaughter n Dillion’s wife.
Sympathies to you, Heather, and all your family.
Bearsie and I shared a lot of adventures back in the 70's while working together at the Outlaw Inn. So glad we kept in touch and saw each other every few years since. Spoke with her last on October 19th and she was the upbeat brilliant person that made you smile as she had always been.
There is a place in my heart where memories of her will always be and will continue to make me smile.
So sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers to all the family... Sorry we could not make it there.
Just watched the live stream. So sad to have missed so much. I should have known her better. Much love and deepest condolences to all of the Johnsons. We love you all so very much.
I knew Bearsie from years ago in Great Falls, MT. She was always a classy lady and an example to me (I was 4 years younger).
